Overview

AddTextBehind is a free, browser-based tool. Your images are never uploaded to any server — all processing happens locally in your browser. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

What We Collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data, including:

Pages viewed and time spent on the site
Editor interactions — for example, whether an image was uploaded, a download triggered, or a font changed
Approximate location (country or region level only)
Device type and browser

We do not collect your images, the text you type into the editor, or any personal identifying information. No account or login is ever required.

Your Images Stay in Your Browser

All image processing — including automatic subject detection — happens entirely within your browser using WebAssembly. Your photos are never sent to our servers or any third party.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish sessions and measure returning visitors. These are analytics-only cookies — they contain no personal data and are not used for advertising or remarketing.

Opt Out

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — web fonts loaded from Google's CDN.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google Analytics defaults, after which it is automatically deleted.
